The TYMC is a community non-profit designed to help people from all walks of life find their path towards calm, peace and stillness. We do this through the traditional and current practices of meditation and mindfulness which can help us all find our way to a more calm mind. Our center is home to several meditation groups which approach the practice in different ways.
The Cypress Tree Zen group follows the Zen approach to meditation and mindfulness. Led by Kathleen Carr, a meditation leader with over a decade of experience, the group meets on Sunday with the goal of establishing a sense of peace and mindfulness before the upcoming week. The Meditation on Recovery (MOR) group makes use of meditation as a means of supporting those who live with any kind of addiction. The practice is also open to those who have a loved one struggling with addiction or any practitioner of meditation, mindfulness and stillness.
